At the 2025 Best of Panama international online auction, a lot of washed Geisha coffee cultivated by Hacienda La Esmeralda in Boquete set a world-record price of $30,204 per kilogram ($13,705 per pound). The winning lot was acquired by a Dubai-based buyer, while the natural Geisha category also reached historic highs at $23,608 per kilogram. The entire auction generated more than $2.8 million across 50 lots, averaging $2,861.20 per kilogram.
